Before the selection begins, the specialist needs to collect all the information about the vacancy: why it opened, in which team and whom the manager wants to see, what hard and soft skills the candidate needs. Also, the recruiter should know what is happening in competing companies: what they offer candidates, what is the salary situation in the labor market. Sometimes in the recruitment process, it is necessary to resort to detective methods, investigating the candidate's past, looking for his contacts, and "rubbing into trust".


Marketer and seller. In order to interest potential candidates, the recruiter makes an attractive job description, promotes it with advertising, and agitates colleagues to nominate their friends through the referral program. And he is actively engaged in the "sale" of a vacancy when he communicates with a candidate: establishes contact, presents, works out objections, and makes a deal during the signing of the offer.


Psychologist. There is nowhere for a recruiter without emotional intelligence right now. The ability to count the mood and condition of the interlocutor, to predict his reaction makes a cool professional out of an ordinary recruiter.


IT recruiting

IT recruiting is all a designation of recruitment in the IT field. But it is in this area that achieving the coveted perfect match of the candidate and the company requires special efforts.


What distinguishes IT recruiting from other areas of recruitment:


Understanding of the IT-sphere and basic knowledge about IT technologies. It's not enough just to learn clever words and throw funny memes into a telegram — you will have to understand the IT infrastructure, be able to distinguish between Django and Flask, and know that the expression "cook a rabbit" is not a phrase from a cooking show.


The supply exceeds the demand: the candidate has 20 offers, dozens of interviews, and several offers. An applicant opens a resume and receives more than 50 invitations a day, and companies compete for the attention of professionals. Passive placement of vacancies on job boards will not help, and any tools are used, including headhunting, forums, and even tinder with a TikTok.
